Power is used in many ways, but power is simply gaining the authority over other people to be able to control or influence others ideas or views in certain criteria and in other views legally. This is very evident in the present wherein people's views, whether political, philosophical, or life views, are influenced by those in politics or media. There were many influential people during the years and, up to the present, these people lead the current world either positively or negatively in terms of influence to hinder or progress development. Those influential people usually have the characteristics of confidence, leadership, and charisma; since these are the qualities that persuade others to listen to these influential people, its shows their ability to think critically and make appropriate decisions depending on certain criteria. In our Website/Blog, we want to illustrate the different ways of how power could be used. First is philosophy and politics between the beliefs of great leaders. Second, is how those with power influence economy negatively or positively.



    Many people of different occupations, social statuses, and backgrounds exercise power in various ways. Take for example the simple manifestation of power between employer and employee – power here is equated to authority and can be exercised through the commands the employer makes. Another example wherein power is exerted is when a private sector “owns and manages the means of production” and the government has minimum interference in making decisions that are directed towards the good of the economy of the company; thus, it will help improve the economy of the country. In the political aspect, power can be exercised in a lot of ways due to the varying government structures. The one that the country has today is democracy. It originated from two Greek words, ‘demos’ meaning ‘people’ and ‘kratos’ meaning ‘power’. This combination of the two words gives rise to the meaning, power that lies in the people. To exercise power is part of man’s nature, regardless of his culture, race, gender, and background. Because it comes from his will, this certain act is innate in him. Although it is natural for man to exert power, it can be exercised in different ways, hence, the different definitions.
